Pottstown FARM opens May 5
The list of fun and healthy things to do in the Borough of Pottstown keeps on growing! The convenience of fresh, healthy food will be available at Pottstown FARM, a weekly outdoor farmers market, held on Thursdays from May 5 through October 13.
The Pottstown Farmers and Artisans Regional Market will be located in the 200 block on High Street between Hanover Street to Charlotte Street with parking available in the nearby lots.
Pottstown FARM’s mission is to facilitate the exchange of fresh, local agricultural products and handmade goods. The market is overseen by Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority’s Main Street Manager Sheila Dugan and coordinated by a committee of the organization.
Pottstown restaurants will play a farm-to-table role in offering special food to match the market’s special themes. On May 5, celebrate Cinco De Mayo with a chili cook-off and salsa from Juan Carlos Fine Mexican Cuisine. Grumpy’s Handcarved Sandwiches will be featuring a South of the Border Soup as well as a root vegetable soup, from the early spring vegetables available at the market.
More than 17 vendors will be selling goods such as dairy, meat, produce, flowers and other items at Pottstown FARM.
This season’s vendors include:
